Treasury Operations

The client is looking for an Assistant Manager in Treasury Operations to join its global, dynamic business.

Your new company
The client is a foreign bank with branches nationwide seeking Treasury Operations candidates with experience in dealing with insourcing projects and are able to manage stakeholders effectively.

Your new role
You will be responsible for coaching and guiding subordinates in terms of operational processes, skills and technical know-how in order to improve the staff productivity and to maintain consistency in operational support and delivery. You will need to maintain key control aspects of the operations in ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and risk mitigation hence reducing fraud losses/write-off and adjustments. Moreover, you will be required to effectively manage the transaction processing as well as department activities to ensure that the required tasks are completed within the expected time frame and operations are carried out in accordance with the operating procedures. You will also be managing the end-to-end daily transaction processing and/or authorisation of operational actions as well as department activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance with internal controls/policies to mitigate any material operational risks that may result in operational failure/fraudulent activities.

What you'll need to succeed
You should be able to demonstrate relevant previous experience (5 years) within Treasury Operations (back office) and banking operations, as well as:
  • Experience in processing Foreign Exchange and Money Market transactions (back-end) as well as perform treasury deals verifications and confirmation of interbank trades/customer transactions, derivatives, internal deals, Forex (Spot, SWAP & etc).
  • Ability to operate and maintain RENTAS & SWIFT Systems to ensure all payments are transmitted on a timely basis. Must be able to handle NOSTRO cashflow.
  • Potentially supporting multiples countries in the APAC region and must be open to working on public holidays or following the country hours.
  • Diploma/Degree holder or professional qualifications in accounting and/or banking.
  • Basic knowledge of statutory requirements and/or related rules.
  • Meticulous in nature as well as good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
