Senior Backend Developer for a Global Digital Services provider based in Kuala Lumpur

Your new company
My client is a world market leader in manufacturing industrial chemicals. They are in the midst of rapidly expanding their Global Digitalization Hub (based in Kuala Lumpur) that is in charge of providing digital solutions to all their subsidiaries across the globe. Due to this, they are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to handle the end-to-end implementation of individual microservices pertaining to their Digital Stores, Webshops, and Product Information Systems.

Key responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for both the design and end-to-end implementation of individual microservices and ensure their smooth operation to build a stable and sustainable API-Layer for several consuming applications.
  • Taking care of the smooth and secure integration of new services into the overall system landscape.
  • Take care of code quality by defining coding conventions and development guidelines.

What you'll need to succeed:
  • More than 5 years' experience in designing and implementing complex software solutions.
  • Very good knowledge of Java, Spring and API development.
  • Knowledge about common relational and No-SQL databases like Postgres OR MongoDB as well as Streaming Platforms like Apache Kafka.
