The company is a diversified conglomerate with ventures in renewable power, real estate construction, manufacturing, hospitality and F&B. They have projects and ventures across the APAC region with further plans for greater expansion.

Your new role
You will be the integral legal counsel reporting directly to the Group CEO on a legal matters, primarily focusing on corporate exercises related to mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures across the region. You will be the sole legal counsel within the framework of the non-power business providing crucial legal corporate support whilst working in tandem with the legal team of the power division with ad hoc corporate legal assistance as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• 10 to 15 years legal related experiences are required
• In-house legal experience within the energy, manufacturing, real estate or hospitality sectors are essential for this role
• Corporate exercise experience in M&A and JV agreements will be crucial
• Willingness to move to Penang
• Mandarin proficiency will be advantageous
