A prominent legal firm with extensive international clientele based in Kuala Lumpur and looking for Legal Associate to join their organization.

Your new role

• Accountable for handling mergers & acquisitions (public and private), shareholder agreements, join ventures, equity capital markets, corporate restructurings and reorganizations, schemes of arrangement and consolidation and general securities laws and commercial work.
• Drafting/Reviewing various corporate commercial contracts and providing legal and regulatory advice.
• Proactively managing clients and their expectations as part of the Firm’s business development.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for applicant with the key qualities listed below:

• At least 3-7 years post admission experience
• Have good academic results from a well-regarded university.
• Post admission working experience obtained at a corporate, commercial or real estate practice of a major commercial law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London or Hong Kong.
• Demonstrate strong drafting skills and proficiency in English. Bilingual and multilingual candidates will be prioritized.
• Posses an outgoing personality and leadership qualities.
• Clear demonstration of leadership skills and a strong team player.
• Willing to travel
• Applicants should be Malaysian citizen or hold relevant residence status only.
