Council Sales Manager

This sales role will be focused on recruiting high level executives into the esteemed membership program.

A global, independent business membership and research association. They have over 1,000 public and private corporations and other organizations as members. Here in Malaysia, they are growing organically and are in need of hiring a talented Sales Manager.

Your new role
  • For assigned Councils, he/she continually studies Board research work and executive program features to achieve strong fluency about our product offering.
  • In parallel, he/she researches prospective members – both at the company and executive levels – to identify customer needs and match them with Council program benefits, and then undertake productive sales dialogue with prospects via value adding email, telephone and in-person discussions.
  • He/she works independently and in partnership with colleagues to reach sales targets, build client relationships, and achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Identify, target and recruit senior executives from global companies in Asia to join our Asia-Pacific Council program
  • Connect with prospective members through phone calls, emails, online media and meetings
  • Engage in substantive sales discussions with prospect; close sales
  • Build and cultivate lead pipeline
  • Regularly update CRM data
  • Proactively share successful sales and engagement practices with colleagues; contribute to team capabilities and productivity improvement


What you'll need to succeed
  • Ideally you have experience in selling B2B Professional Services or Corporate Services Solutions
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines and recognise and respond to risk situations
  • Doesn’t take NO for an answer
  • Curious and have the desire to learn about the services that this company delivers and market in which this company operates
