Accounting Specialist (Regional Reporting)

Looking for a accounting specialist (regional reporting) to be based with a infrastructure company at KL.

Your new role
As a Accounting Specialist (Regional Reporting), you are expected to;

  • Responsible for preparation of monthly and periodic group management report and consolidated accounts
  • Managing the corporate month end reporting process including provide guidance to team and subsidiaries’ accountants for consistent accounting/reporting methodology
  • Calculate intercompany recharges, prepare interco debit note and invoices and managing incoming payments/collections in compliance with Group’s policies.
  • Provide monthly detailed analysis of expenditure by HQ entities
  • Liaising with the external auditors, tax agent and company secretary
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller in implementing internal controls and procedures to finance, production and operations department
  • Taking the initiative in resolving issues involving reconciliation of inter-company balances between foreign subsidiaries, timing of inter-company billings etc
  • Managing and overseeing a group’s accounting system, including implementation and changes as required

What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • ACCA / CIMA / MIA / ICAEW or equivalent qualifications are preferred
  • Accountant with 3-5 years’ experience in preparing Group Consolidated Accounts with foreign subsidiaries. Ability to prepare consolidation using ERP system is an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of IFRS
  • Able to work independently and to take initiative in implementing improvements
  • Competency in MS Office, Accounting / Financial ERP software
